How can participants take part in a Q&A?

Can I moderate questions?

blue arrow icon

Yes, but only if you have “Moderation” turned on. You can turn this setting on during authoring or after editing an existing Q&A.

Find out more about how you and other collaborators can moderate submissions in our Quick Start Guide.

What’s the character limit for Q&A submissions?

blue arrow icon
Submissions are limited to 2000 characters while written replies are limited to 5000 characters.

Additionally, the control room and the audience web voting screen only show the first 200 characters of a submission. You can click “See More” to see the rest of the submission. The presentation view shows the entire submission.

Can guest users participate or is Q&A only for authenticated users?

blue arrow icon
Yes. If you want to allow guests outside of your organization to participate in a Q&A, turn link sharing on or share the generated Public link. It’s important to note that this will limit some of the Q&A functionalities such as private replies to submissions.

Can participants use a mobile device to participate?

blue arrow icon

Yes, participants can use the Slack app as long as they’re signed into the correct workspace on their mobile device. However, if a public web link is configured, they can access it in their browser by clicking on the link or scanning the QR code being presented.
